Hampden Park Post Office

On Friday 24th June the Ebid crew started one of their monthly fundraising auctions which run from the 24th -28th of each month except December.

This month we were raising money for The Royal British Legion and as I had a couple of auctions up I knew I would have to make the trip to the Post Office very soon after the 28th.

Now...I hadn't been to our Post Office since we moved to our first home here in 2014. This is because I would normally use a carrier on-line only I need to print labels from their site.

Chromebook is not talking to our printer so I had to find another way of sending parcels.....hence the planned Post Office run. So...the big day (today) arrived and off I trotted .... a woman on a mission.

First off..I had to find the right road which has no signs until I had walked about 100 yards (not foreign metres as I don't do them) along the road....then a railway crossing and onto the road I was after.

I managed to find a cashpoint then noticed a sign to a Tesco store which gave me something else to think about. The Post Office was quiet, handed over my parcel and bought stamps and started off home.

I saw the sign to the Tesco store again so decided to stop off and pick up some goodies.

I arrived home...put away the groceries (cream cakes and doughnuts were necessary) and stashed away all the luxury goods like laundry liquid and milk.

I conked out within an hour of getting back and had a nap...woke up feeling more alive and glad I made the trip out,

I Voted To Leave The EU

Although I am glad to be out of the United States of Europe, this has to be the funniest response to the 'leave' result I have seen so far.

I have no idea what I am meant to do with these as I have never used them and haven't drawn much at all in so many years I can't remember how many.

I can only put this sudden desire to put pencil to paper down to being very busy building my new website.

It won't be live until about November just in time for the festive silliness in December. There has been a Christmas page added already....planning ahead as usual.

Back in Business

Since I bought a round tuit I have no excuse for putting things off that I hadn't done because I hadn't got a round tuit.

I think it is working a bit too well though as in the last couple of weeks I have added 5  stores to eBid and have worked some nights until after midnight.

Finally Got Around To It

I have now bought a new domain for the website I have had planned for ages.

My new site will be called "My Lovely Stuff" and will be home to lots of stuff that I think is lovely...lol

I will be adding news about the monthly eBid fundraising auctions as well as selling and promoting my lovely stuff, including my favourite on-line stores and info sites.

Enjoying the Summer Sun :)

Sweltering in the heat now. It has been that muggy that our Venus Fly Trap looks like it has given up the will to live.

I have moved the plant to the kitchen window sill as I am convinced that 5 people smoking within feet of it can't be doing it any good. We don't actually have 5 smokers here but nearly all of our visitors smoke. I have to go to another room when the smoke gets too thick. Just glad I have a Chromebook and don't rely on a desk top pc or I wouldn't get much done.

I found one of my websites I had forgotten to add to for ages so that is another project that will help keep me off the streets. I noticed it included some marketing banners I added to it that actually still work so I am planning to get the marketing sorted out this month as I kinda miss all that techy stuff.

One of my claims to fame is that I used to market Woolworths...lol
